Field notes.

Notes from the work at the track.

What do the terms mean?

Authority tier
The level of action a method or AI proposal may take, from observe-only to bounded automatic adaptation.
Cue taper
Reducing how often a cue fires as the operator's skill holds. Probe laps withhold it to check retention.
Driver Workout
DRIVERFORM's training record of a driving session. It shows how much work was done, what created it, how the body responded and where demand built up.
Eri
Machine Nerve's AI domain expert and the knowledge coach in the loop. Eri builds a program from the operator's goal, then proposes exact, versioned changes inside the operator's limits.
Joint task performance
How well the person and the machine perform the task together, rather than either one alone.
Method
A person's versioned rule for a task. It defines signals, conditions, timing, a channel and an authority tier.
Probe lap
A lap where the method deliberately withholds its cue to test whether the skill holds without it.
Qualified signal
A source whose quality, timing and freshness travel with it, so a method only acts on trusted data.
Recursive improvement
Using observed results to revise the methods and assistance that shape subsequent work.
Recursive ontology
A shared description of what each signal means for a task, what should happen, under what limits and what the system may do. People author it, code runs it and Eri sharpens it after each session, with a person's approval.

Questions, answered.

What is Machine Nerve?

Physiology-aware AI training for race drivers. A driver states a goal, and Eri builds the program from the driver's inputs, the car, the race and the driver's body. The program runs in the session, and Eri revises it for the driver to approve.

Do I need someone to run my sessions?

No. Expert knowledge arrives as a catalog the driver runs. Tell Eri a goal and Eri builds the rest. Flows give cues during the session, Eri proposes revisions afterward and you approve each change.

Why does it read the driver's body?

Racing tools train from the driver's inputs and the car. Heart rate, HRV, breathing and EEG let a program hold a cue when the driver is overloaded, add recovery breathing and check that a skill holds under stress. Telemetry alone also works.

Is it a medical device?

Machine Nerve is not a medical device and does not provide clinical diagnosis, treatment, or medical readiness certification.

What does it work with?

iRacing, VBOX, MoTeC, RaceChrono, Garage61 and Cosworth exports, Polar, Apple Watch, Muse and others. Each format's support status is listed on the compatibility table.

What does it cost?

A driver season is $299, with a launch bucket of Eri credits. A team race weekend is $399. Expert catalogs are priced by their authors. In the first months, each new driver can book a free launch hour.

Who owns the data and the method?

You do. Your data stays private and your program stays yours. Data and models can stay on your own computers and NAS. Publication of a case needs your approval.

Does the AI change things on its own?

Only if the operator chose a tier that allows it, and only through eight fixed operations. A safety flow cannot be changed by the AI.

Which telemetry files can it open?

Import is built for each format below. The status shows the depth of support for each one.

Live sources run methods in the session. Imported files feed review and trends. Each value carries its source, format, version and quality.

Coverage and limits.

iRacing

Live relay and file import · Live telemetry, CSV and IBT · Built paths

Live delivery and recorded-file analysis have different clocks and rates.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

Live adapter and replay · Enabled SimConnect profiles and replay bundles · Built paths

Flight simulator profiles run the same methods as racing.

MoTeC

File import · i2 CSV exports · Built CSV path

i2 CSV exports import with their channels and units.

Cosworth

File import · Qualified PDS recordings · Qualified variants

Direct decoding covers the qualified Porsche and Cosworth layouts.

VBOX

File import · CSV and native VBO · Built import paths

Channels, timebase and companion video alignment depend on the recording.

AiM

File import · Recognized Race Studio CSV exports · Built CSV boundary

The CSV adapter keeps the raw source data.

RaceChrono

File import · CSV exports · Built import path

Column mappings follow the exported recording.

Garage61

File import · CSV exports · Built import path

Recorded sessions import for review and trends.

Bosch

Compatibility request · Representative export required · Not verified

Send a representative export and we qualify the format and channels.
